Though giving the impression of being in the ‘middle of nowhere’, the house is not isolated. One can get to the nearest village in a few minutes and Riberac, with it's beautiful square, is only ten minutes by car. It is also near to Verteillac, with its art gallery and Bistros. A 40 minute drive takes you to Périgueux with its medieval alleyways and historic buildings. An absolute must see.

The famous Friday market in Riberac is not to be missed. People come from all over the region and as the summer progresses, so the market grows in size. All year round it has just about everything for sale. If you like markets, you could visit one locally almost every day of the week.
